Today I am 27 weeks pregnant and the only biggest worry on my mind today is successful breast feeding! Friends and family tell horror stories about 'not latching properly', sore, bleeding and crusty nipples, they say its all the in angle or 'you wont have trouble bc your nipples are so BIG! And it must be tough or there would not be millions of lactation consultants all over the world dedicated to successful breastfeeding.
As I watched the new potty calf feed today she simply reached under mom grabbed one udder, then another, and another until one gave her the flow she was after. Mommy cow was patient standing still until the calf was complete.
So my lesson today is patience and multiple udders are key.
